Type 1 diabetes increases the chances of developing some cancers of the digestive system, but reduces the incidence of breast cancer and prostate cancer.
According to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Edmburg, Grand Pratten, and published in the professional journal Diabetology, people with diabetes 1 have a high risk of developing certain cancers, while their chance of developing other cancerous tumors is reduced.

Dr. Stephanie Reed launched this study with the aim of verifying a hypothesis about the strange relationship between diabetes 1 and cancer, compared to diabetes 2.
Dr. Reed and colleagues studied the incidence of cancer in diabetic patients aged <40 years and from 5 different countries: Australia, Denmark, Finland, Scotland and Sweden. Reed and her team compared the data with national registries registered in each country.
High risk of gastrointestinal cancer
The researchers also noted that people with type 1 diabetes were 23% more likely to develop stomach cancer, but women had a 78% higher chance of developing it.
Men and women with diabetes1 are twice as likely to develop cancer of the liver (2 times for men and 55% for women), pancreas (53% for men and 25% for women) and kidneys (30% for men and 47% for women), but women are also at high risk of developing endometrial cancer.
Lower risk of breast and prostate cancer
Although they couldn't explain why, the researchers noted that people with type 1 diabetes were 10% less likely (for women) to develop breast cancer, and 44% less likely (for men) to develop prostate cancer.
The researchers also noted that the chance of developing cancer is much higher in the first years of diabetes diagnosis, and the chance of its occurrence increases to two or three times in men, while the chance of its occurrence is in women, in the twelve months after diagnosis; This is according to Top Sante.

السكري من النوع الأول يزيد فرص الإصابة ببعض سرطانات الجهاز الهضمي، ولكنه يقلّل الإصابة بسرطان الثدي وسرطان البروستات.
بحسب دراسة يقوم بها الباحثون في جامعة إدمبورغ، غراند براتين، ونشرت في الدورية المهنية ديابتولوجيا (علم السكري)، فإنّ المصابين بالسكري 1 معرّضون بشدّة للإصابة بسرطانات معينة، فيما تقلّ فرصة إصابتهم بأورام سرطانية أخرى.
بنكرياس آلي ينهي عذاب مرضى السكري.
وقد أطلقت الدكتورة ستيفاني ريد هذه الدراسة بهدف التحقق من فرضية حول العلاقة الغريبة التي تربط بين السكري 1 والسرطان، مقارنة بالسكري 2.
وقامت الدكتورة ريد وزملاؤها بدراسة حدوث السرطان لدى مرضى السكري 1 ذوي الأعمار التي تقلّ عن 40 عاماً، والذين ينتمون إلى 5 بلدان مختلفة: أستراليا، الدنمارك، فنلندا، سكوتلاندا والسويد. وقد قامت ريد وفريقها بمقارنة البيانات مع السجلات الوطنية المسجّلة في كلّ دولة.
خطر كبير للإصابة بسرطان قنوات الهضم
لاحظ الباحثون أيضاً أنَّ المصابين بالسكري 1 هم أكثر عرضة، بنسبة 23%، للإصابة بسرطان المعدة، إلا أنَّ فرصة إصابة النساء شديدة وتصل إلى 78%.
الرجال والنساء المصابون بالسكري 1 معرضون للإصابة بسرطان الكبد (بضعفين للرجال و55% للنساء)، والبنكرياس (53% للرجال و25% للنساء) والكلى (30% للرجال و47% للنساء) إلا أنَّ النساء أيضاً عرضة وبشدة للإصابة بسرطان بطانة الرحم.
خطر أقلّ للإصابة بسرطان الثدي والبروستات
على الرغم من عدم قدرتهم على تفسير السبب، فإنَّ الباحثين قد لاحظوا أنّ المصابين بسكري 1 هم أقلّ عرضة بنسبة 10% (للنساء) للإصابة بسرطان الثدي، وبنسبة 44% (للرجال) للإصابة بسرطان البروستات.
كما لاحظ الباحثون أنَّ فرصة الإصابة بالسرطان تكون أعلى بكثير في السنوات الأولى من تشخيص السكري، وفرصة حدوثه ترتفع إلى ضعفين أو ثلاثة لدى الرجال، فيما تكون فرصة حدوثه لدى النساء، في الإثني عشر شهراً بعد التشخيص؛ وذلك وفقاً لـ"توب سانتيه".

لقد قمنا بالكثير من التعليقات علي دراسات اخري كثيرة مشابهة لهذه الدراسة
التي تتناول البحث في العلاقة بين مرض السكري عموما وبين الاصابة ببعض الامراض الاخري المزمنة كالسرطان
ولاهمية هذه الدراسات قمنا بالتعليق عليها لالقاء الضوء عليها واظهار اخطاء السادة الباحثون في استنتاجاتهم وتفسيراتهم الغير منطقية وغير علمية
.وبالتالي في الفهم الخاطيء لعلاقة الامراض المختلفة ببعضها البعض .وخاصة العلاقة بين السكري وظهور الاصابة بعض الامراض كالسرطان
