واعتبر المسؤول في “الصحة العالمية” أنه عندما أدلى بالتصريح منذ أشهر “لم تكن قد ظهرت متحورات أكثر قابلية للانتقال”، على الرغم من أن المتحور “دلتا” الذي رُصد للمرة الأولى في الهند، كان منتشرًا في تلك الفترة، وفق ما ذكرته الوكالة.

وأعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية، في 1 من أيلول الحالي، عن متحور جديد من فيروس “كورونا” تحت اسم “مو” (Mu)، رُصد لأول مرة في كولومبيا في كانون الثاني الماضي.
وقالت المنظمة إن النسخة المتحورة “B.1.621″ صُنّفت في الوقت الراهن بـ”متحورة تجب مراقبتها”.
ونقلت وكالة “فرانس برس” ملخصًا عن النشرة، شرحت فيه أن لدى هذا المتحور طفرات يمكن أن تنطوي على خطر “هروب مناعي” (مقاومة للقاحات)، الأمر الذي يجعل من الضروري إجراء مزيد من الدراسات عليها لفهم خصائصها بشكل أفضل.
وسبق لرئيس مجموعة “أكسفورد للقاحات”، البروفيسور أدرو بولارد، أن صرح عن استحالة الوصول إلى مناعة القطيع مع انتشار متغير “دلتا” الحالي، معتبرًا أن مناعة القطيع أصبحت “خرافة” بوجوده.
وأضاف بولارد أن المشكلة الحقيقية هي أن فيروس “كورونا” هو ليس كفيروس “الحصبة”، موضحًا أنه إذا تم تطعيم 95% من الناس ضد الحصبة، فلن ينتقل الفيروس بين السكان، وفقًا لما نقلته صحيفة “الجارديان” البريطانية.
