The Alexandria Criminal Court ruled that Fayez Abbas Tawfiq, a doctor in the Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery at Ras El-Tin General Hospital in Alexandria, be imprisoned for 3 years and fined 1,000 pounds after he was charged with bribery.
The verdict was issued by Counselor Muhammad Izzat Sharbash, and the membership of the counselors, Khairy Al-Kabbash, Imad Abdel-Nabi, and the secretariat of Ibrahim Abu Al-Safa.
The administrative control men had arrested the doctor after he was informed that he had requested 2,500 pounds as a bribe from a patient in return for providing special care for her during her treatment in the burn and cosmetic department of the hospital and providing the necessary medicines for her treatment. After taking legal measures, he was caught in the act of taking the bribe.
The Public Prosecution ordered the doctor to be imprisoned, and it was decided to refer him to trial after completing the investigations so that the aforementioned ruling is issued
قضت محكمة جنايات الإسكندرية بمعاقبة فايز عباس توفيق طبيب بقسم جراحة الحروق والتجميل بمستشفي رأس التين العام بالإسكندرية بالحبس لمدة 3 سنوات وتغريمه مبلغ ألف جنيه بعد أن وجهت له تهمة الرشوة.
اصدر الحكم المستشار محمد عزت شرباش وعضوية المستشارين خيري الكباش وعماد عبد النبي وسكرتارية إبراهيم أبو الصفا.
كان رجال الرقابة الإدارية قد القوا القبض علي الطبيب بعد الإبلاغ عنه بأنه طلب مبلغ 2500 جنيها علي سبيل الرشوة من مريضة مقابل تقديم رعاية خاصة لها أثناء علاجها بقسم الحروق والتجميل بالمستشفي وتوفير الأدوية اللازمة لعلاجها حيث تم ضبطه بعد اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية متلبسا بتقاضي مبلغ الرشوة.
أمرت النيابة بحبس الطبيب وتقرر إحالته للمحاكمة بعد استكمال التحقيقات ليصدر الحكم المتقدم
