Study: Covid-19 patients are 40% more likely to develop diabetes after recovery

وتقول الدكتورة تشين ان، إن فريقها الذي يدرس حالات مرضى تم تشخيصهم حديثًا بمرض السكري لاحظ وجود تغيرات جينية في خلايا البنكرياس، أثرت على قدرتها صنع الأنسولين كما أصبحت تنتج هرمون الجلوكاجون وتتركز وظيفته بزيادة مستويات الغلوكوز (السكر) في الدم.
